Exceptional and unique rectangular soft-hide N. Plains beaded and quilled dispatch bag. Rows of perfect, very fine quillwork cross the flap and the front panel of the bag. Line rows of trader blue beading border the two sides of the front panel and the flap. Two trailing tin cones and purple dyed horsehair suspensions hang from each of the bags four corners. Tucked red wool trade cloth finish decorating the two side seams. Excellent condition. Length: 7.5". Width: 6.75". Circa 1890.
